THIS week in Penarth Darts the Station played home to the Cross Keys, the game was played for double points making the win twice as important.

Keys took the first pairs 2-0 with Peter 100 x2 and Marc x5, the Station won the next pairs through P Cox 100 x1 and M Young x15. Russ hit a 140 and Tony scored 100 x5 for the Keys.

The singles were shared 2-2 for the Station. Points came from Maurice 114 x20 and Paul 125 x20, Mark hit a ton. Keys wins came from Mathony x15 and Tony x20 Peter and Jeff who both hit a ton.

The team game saw Mathony hit a 180 for the Keys but it was Mark Young who stepped in with x2 for the Station to win the game 14-10.

Another team from Cogan, the Coronation, who were away to the Llandough Legion won 9-4 starting with the pairs. Wayne 100 140 x2 and Dai 105 x16, next was Stuart with x8 and x16 for the Coro. The Legion had points with D I Dave 100 x4 and Dave 100 x2, Martin hit a ton.

The singles were shared by both teams for the Coro. It was Wayne x9 and Les 2 tons x4 in reply. The Legion's wins were D I Dave x16 and Martin 100 x2 Stuart hit 100. The team game was then won by the Coro. On form was Les with 100 x4, Wayne and Dai both hit a ton and for the Legion Dave and Martin hit a ton and Stuart hit a 121.

The Ex's won their match at home to the Rafa B 8-3. Ex's won the first pairs with Steve hitting 100 x20 x8 Paul hit 121 and Jack hit a ton. The Rafa B then took the next - on form was Lee with x9 and x8 both Nathan and Anthony hit a ton.

The Ex’s stepped up to win three of the singles through Jack 100 x5, John 125 x16 and Paul 119 with 88 out x2. For the Rafa Dave hit a ton and Nathan won a point with x10. The team leg saw Dave Anthony and Nathan all scored a ton for the Rafa B but it was Paul with x16 for the Ex's who took the 3 points for the team leg.

At the Rafa Club, the home side, the Rafa A, took on the visitors from the Golden Lion. A close game ensued with the Lion taking their opportunities to come out on top as 7-5 winners. The Lion took the first pairs 2-1 with Steve 100 100, 100 140 x2, and Nathan 100 x10, Ian 100 and Charlie x4 took a leg for the Rafa A. Second pairs went the Lion's way 2-0 with Rob 10 and Paul 100 x10 and x10. The Lion took three singles with Paul 100 x10, Paddy hit 100 100, in reply for the Rafa A Mike 140 x3, Nathan 117 x4. Paul was the sole winner for the Rafa A scoring 100 x11, Steve hit 100 100 in reply for the Lion. The team leg proved to be the salvation for the Rafa A with them taking an early lead with Paul 100, Charlie 100 and Ian wrapping things up with x20 to take the three points.
