PENARTH Windsor Lawn Tennis Club celebrated the return of its annual Grade 4 LTA Tournament during the Easter holidays, with almost 100 entrants from across South Wales and further afield as far as Devon and Newcastle.

This county-standard tournament ran for both mini and junior age groups from 8&U to 18&U and provided the opportunity for its own members to access top level competition on their own doorstep.

Windsor had many successes of its own, particularly among the younger age groups in the tournament roll of honour.

The results were:

Head Coach Robert Wedlake, who was delighted with the event, said: "A lot of work goes into these events from our coaches and also the club which gives up court time and staffs a busy cafe-bar for the week.

"Every minute was worth it though, as we enhance the club's culture of fair competition further and also continue to grow awareness of the standards that are out there especially in older age groups where many of our mini player aspire to reach."
