THERE were 165 competitors on Saturday, April 19, as Glamorganshire Golf Club held its Easter Cup Stableford Competition.
Thanks to the improving weather and general course condition, scoring was much improved on previous weeks.
The eventual winner of the cup was Ross Toshack off four handicap, with an impressive 40 points. Ross has now reduced is handicap from five to three in recent years, which is a fine achievement for a category one golfer. Second was Robert Beale with 39 points and third was Jay Morris with 38 points.
In the Two's Competition there were nine golf balls per share.
On Bank Holiday Monday there were 96 competitors in the Medal Competition. Results were as follows:
1st C Burns 87-20-67 nett
2nd D Blatchford 76-8-68 nett
3rd P Fenton 86-18-68 nett
4th S Edwards 81-12-69 nett
The next competition is the Jubilee Cup which will be held on Saturday, May 3.
