DAVIES Mary (Nee Hartley) 15th December 1917- 17th June 2017 Peacefully at home on Saturday 17th June, beloved wife of the late William (Bill). Mother to Peter, Barbara, Sheala, Brian and the late Ian. Loved grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral Service at St Peter's Church Dinas Powys at 11am on Tuesday 27th June, followed by cremation at the Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium 12noon. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Macmillan Cancer Charity.

I've only just heard about Mary passing away from Mel Griffin. I met Mary through Contact the Elderly over many years, first driving her and later as a tea host, and always loved her company. She was one of the most delightful people I've met. Always up for a laugh - such a droll sense of humour. Please accept my condolences. The photo shows Mary at the last party I hosted that she attended. It was a hot day, so I distributed sun hats. Mary selected the 'cowboy' hat. Lovely, lovely lady. Anne Soulsby
