'Coaching for All' scheme proves beneficial

PARK TABLE TENNIS Club's scheme "Coaching For All" has shown quick benefits for the club.

Coaching at St Cyres School has produced four young players already fed into teams competing in the Cardiff and District Table Tennis League Division 5.

All this has been attributed to the Vale of Glamorgan Community Chest granting St Cyres School £1,000 for table tennis tables and equipment.

Two Park Club qualified TTAW coaches have been working with young players at St Cyres School for the past year and have produced four promising players.

The four have continued being coached during the summer recess and their progress has earned them the right to represent Park Club in the National Welsh League Junior Division where they will compete against junior teams representing their towns and cities throughout North and South Wales.

Park Club has purchased two new table tennis tables with their Grant which will enable the club coaches to increase table time for young players.
