I NEVER thought I would ever have to review a Crocodile Dundee movie.
It's been over a decade since we last saw Paul Hogan wreak havoc, but now he's back in his most exciting adventures yet! Er, right?
Now counting his wrinkles down under, Mick Dundee still captures crocodiles for a living. But when his girlfriend lands a job in LA, Mick comes along to see the sights, meet the stars and crack some jokes. Soon he is embroiled in stopping movie producers who are smuggling old paintings.
The big question is why on earth did they make another Crocodile Dundee? Nobody actually likes the film, people just like the idea that he wrestles with crocodiles. It makes no real attempt to be funny, instead it just seems like an effort to produce trilogy box sets.
With Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski returning for their pay cheques, this is a film produced by people with nothing better to do. They could have made an effort to at least make the film a bit decent.
Director Simon Wincer has no imagination behind the camera. Only one scene is neatly directed but the scene is poor anyway.
The film is also quite racist in two ways. One way is that Hollywood is still portraying black people as thieves with guns and secondly, Australians are thick idiots who don't know anything about technology.
If they decide to make one more Crocodile Dundee movie, I am going to sue them and make the long-awaited Kevin Williams in Barry movie!
