Kate and Megan make their coaches proud

COACHES Helen Cope, Jennie John and Lorraine Beaumont were proud to present the first gymnasts to represent the recently-formed Phoenix Gymnastics in competition.

Two gymnasts, Kate Galea and Megan Richards were entered in the 10/11 Welsh Individual Challenge Cup which took place at the Welsh Institute of Sport on Sunday, September 23.

Both girls gave a superb account of themselves beginning with beautifully presented work on floor, followed by vault, bars and beam.

Phoenix Gymnastics is now looking forward to entering its first gymnast (Liz Thomas) into the Welsh Novice Championships next month.

The club coaches are anticipating an exciting future with the increasing number of competitive squad girls entering from the recreational classes.
