PENARTH'S favourite drag queen put on one of the wildest shows ever seen at the Paget Rooms last week ... and it was fantastic.
The Ceri Dupree Show bubbled with energy and comedy as time and again the female impersonations rang true.
The Plymouth Road resident, who has performed all over the world, impersonated Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey and Marlene Dietrich in the two-hour plus show, and with his powerful singing voice proved he was far more than just a drag act.
One of the funniest impersonations was Marlene Diet-rich.
Cleo Laine and Elizabeth Taylor were also fantastic and Macy Gray nearly stole the show. Dupree's 'Helen from Big Brother' performance went down a treat with the audience as he adorned himself with a tight pink T-shirt, red pvc trousers, platform shoes and a fantastic blonde Helen style wig.
But most hilarious of all was his take on Camilla Parker Bowles when Dupree treated the audience to an array of royal jokes and put on the most aristocratic voice ever to deliver them.
The costumes were absolutely fantastic, with more sequins than the Academy Awards, while the wigs were outstanding.
Dupree's support band, on the stage throughout, was also brilliant with not a note out of place.
If you get the chance to see Ceri Dupree, do not turn it down!
