Harry Potter fever grips one and all

PENARTH has Harry Potter fever like never before, especially as it has its very own goblin.

Lisa Osmond, 41, of High Street, spent two days in London at the end of last year. She was filming as an extra for the blockbuster movie The Philosopher's Stone.

Although she was more excited while she was on the set, she felt nervous when she went to see the preview on November 3.

Lisa told the Penarth Times: "I remember thinking when they gave me my part that I'd have preferred a different one. But my 'action shot' stayed in the film."

Lisa has Restricted Growth. She said: "I have signed up to Willow Management, the agency owned and run by Warwick Davies from the film Willow. But it seems all the parts found for shorter people are towards the freaky side. I want to change that image. I think if shorter people were given everyday roles, it would stop the ignorance."

But Lisa had a great time both on set and at the cast and crew preview. She said: "It was exactly a year since the filming, and it was lovely to catch up with friends I'd made. I was a bit disappointed I didn't go in with the principle actors, but we went in with the director and producer. It was just as fun to see the film."

As Harry goes into to Gringots Bank, Lisa is the third goblin on the right, stamping a book. She said: "As the bank doors opened, I held my breath. But the latex mask I had to wear was so convincing I couldn't recognise myself."

The second film is already underway. Lisa hopes she will be recalled for extra work in The Chamber of Secrets. She added: "It's been a fabulous experience."
