Shrek (U)

NURSERY tales come to life in Shrek (U), the hilarious cartoon comedy out on video and DVD just in time for Christmas.

Shrek is an endearing ogre (voiced by Mike Myers) hired by scheming Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) to rescue feisty Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), who he wants as his wife.

Shrek sets out to rescue the Princess along with his loveable loudmouthed Donkey (Eddie Murphy), with comic results.

This is a brilliant animation, which really brings cartoons to life. The story is absolutely enchanting, and will be enjoyable both for the old and young in the Festive season and beyond. Directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, Shrek really is one to watch.
