Video Review

IF you're looking for a film with oodles of imagination, then Cats and Dogs is for you.

It uses a combination of real animals, digital effects, puppets and Hollywood actors to bring to life a film about the age-old battle between cats and dogs.

The film begins with Professor Brody (Jeff Goldblum) trying to find a cure for allergies to dogs. However, Persian cat Mr Tinkles (Sean Hayes) tries to sabotage his plans.

But when some dogs find out, shepherd Butch (Alec Baldwin) trains beagle puppy Lou (Tobey Maguire) to trip Mr Tinkles up.

And so outright war breaks out between the canines and felines.

Also featuring the voices of Susan Sarandon, Michael Clarke Duncan and Joe Pantoliano, Cats and Dogs promises a few chuckles.
