Phoenix Gymnastics secure £5,000 sponsorship deal

PHOENIX Gymnastics Club right across the range are set to take advantage of a huge boost to their training facility in the shape of a new 12m spring tumble track.

The purchase of this vital equipment has been made possible through a partnership between Phoenix and their sponsors GH Solutions Ltd, a local IT Consultancy company. The company's sponsorship has also been matched by The Sports Council for Wales "Sportsmatch Cymru" scheme. Sportsmatch is a Welsh Assembly funded pound for pound business incentive scheme aimed at encouraging commercial sponsorship into grass roots sport.

The tumble track is based at Western Leisure Centre, where the majority of squad training takes place, as well as the Supertots class for five and six-year-old girls. Pre-school and Early Years feeder classes are also held in Lisvane. In the Spring, Phoenix are set to open new classes for children aged six years and over.

Meanwhile the gymnasts continue to work hard to achieve competitive success, most recently bringing home eight medals following competitions in Bath and Bristol prior to Christmas.
