ANOTHER of Wales' top rugby stars could be moving into Penarth - thanks to a futuristic property planned for the town.
Rhys Williams, Welsh full back, has set his heart on a home in Coronation Terrace - one of three that currently only exists on paper.
It comes just months after fellow players Spencer John, Peter Rogers, Mike Voyle and Gary Powell bought luxurious apartments above the Windsor Arcade.
Both sets of properties have been devised by 'Loft co', a local company dealing in "a revolution in living space for singletons."
Mark Andrews, a partner at Loft co, said: "Up until now, developers had in mind families and couples. Nobody had thought of the lifestyles of affluent young singles and how this would impact on their choice of home.
"Inspired by the space lofted apartments afforded, we have come up with the kind of places that seem to set men's pulses racing."
The three apartments are open plan with views over Cardiff Bay. When Rhys wakes up in the morning, he will be able to see the Millennium Stadium from his bed.
Speaking exclusively to the Penarth Times, Cowbridge-born Rhys, 21, said: "I've been living in Cathays for two years, and decided it was time to move out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
"I know a lot of players have moved into the Marina, but I wanted something a bit different. I heard there might be something going up on the cliff top, the ideal situation, easy to get into the city for training."
Plans, submitted three weeks ago, are in the process of consultation at the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
