Kenny puts pen to paper for Town

BARRY TOWN'S Manager Kenny Brown has demonstrated his commitment to the club by extending his contract until May, 2005.

The Club's Chief Executive, Kevin Green told us: "We are delighted by this development. As I have said before, our well publicised problems are short term and we are tackling these.

"But our long term prospects are very bright, which is why it is essential we put in place now the infrastructure which will be needed."

He added: "Kenny has played, and will continue to play, a major part in the progress of the club.

"By securing his services on a longer contract he can concentrate not only on immediate results, but the long term planning of future success."

KEEPER SIGNS

Simon Rayner, recently signed from AFC Bournemouth, has put pen to an 18 month contract with Barry Town.

The 6ft 5in goalkeeper, a Canadian under-20 international, has impressed on his two appearances for the club.

ADDITION

Kenny Brown has moved to strengthen his squad as the title race heads into the final stages, with the signing of Nicky Burke, from Port Talbot Town.

Nicky, a forward, was previously with Barry Town, but was released by previous manager Peter Nicholas, during the summer.

He has been signed to provide cover in the forward area, where the club were a little short, following the departure of Julian Edwards.
