Their decision

SIR - IN response to D Grigg's letter (News, Feb 28), I was married in the wonderful surroundings of Windsor Road URC, and have had cause to rejoice in its excellent acoustics and fine organ while leading worship there.

However, I feel this does not give me a right to attempt to influence decisions which are those for church members who worship there week in and week out. They have to decide how they can serve God and fellow human beings best, whether in a new building, an old building or no building at all.

They will not need reminding that Jesus told Peter "You are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church" (Matthew 16 v 18). In such situations subsidence does not enter the equation.
