Residents in the St David's Crescent area are hopping mad because of problems they are experiencing with the new style part-concrete pavements.
Everyone was delighted to see Mrs D Pawley Evans back at Penarth Darby and Joan Club last week when there was a large gathering of club members to give her a warm welcome.
The St Joseph's RC School, Penarth, mini rugby squad swept all before them as they notched up 80 points in winning their three matches in the Cardiff section of the All-Wales Mini Rugby Festival.
The winning recorder group from Evenlode Primary School, Penarth, which will represent South Glamorgan at the Urdd National Eisteddfod at Barry in June, were Sarah Rees, Nancy Walton, Rhiannon Williams, Aled Greville, Michael Chapman, David Ward, Karen Jones, Caroline Spear, Alyson Chetcuti, Nicola Day, Michelle Norman and Alyson Gardner.
Fourteen-year-old Paul Loveless of Stanwell Comprehensive School has been selected to box for Wales against England in a Schoolboy International at Guernsey in the Channel Islands on April 15.

The introduction of a parking card scheme for Penarth town centre has not been ruled out by South Glamorgan County Council.
Penarth Town councillors are seeking a meeting with Welsh Water to discuss fears over sewage disposal plans for this area.
There was a double bonus for Penarth businessman Geoffrey Gimber last week, when he checked in for his regular Manx Airlines flight from Cardiff to Belfast. As the 75,000th passenger to fly with the airline since the launch of its hub of scheduled services at Cardiff last April he was presented with a bottle of Champagne.
Geraint John, the three times capped Wales B International and a surprise rugby star, will help kick off the Penarth Mini/Junior Rugby Festival at the Athletic Field, Penarth on Good Friday.
Penarth and District Stroke Support Group enjoyed a musical evening when they were entertained royally by Janine Thomas and Concheta Perez from St Cyres School, Penarth.
