Wake-up call

I AM writing to ask the vandals who regularly smash the windows of Penarth Leisure Centre to think before they cause damage next time.

Nearly every week my husband is called out in the early hours of the morning to wait for a glazier and sweep up their mess.

This weekend being no exception. The call came at 3am Saturday morning and he eventually got home at 6:30am.

In years to come when these people have families of their own, perhaps they will think back to what they have done and realise that time with your children is precious and it is nice to be awake when you are with them, and not spend most of the weekend catching up on sleep you've missed from the night before. We are very lucky in Penarth to have a leisure centre of this calibre and it seems that not many of us appreciate it.
