Renee takes Ladies surfing championship

RENEE GODFREY of Dinas Powys, won the prestigious British Ladies Surfing Championships recently at Cornwall.

Last year Renee, a product of Atlantic College, made the eyes of student surfers turn to Swansea, when she picked up a Cultural and Sporting scholarship from Swansea University where she studies Anthropology.

Renee regrets that the swell of the sea cannot get far enough to the coast off Penarth to practice surfing the right sort of wave and offer the local youth surfing opportunities right on their doorstep.
