Park tasks?

I NOTE WITH interest that we are to have the services of a town warden at the approximate cost of £10,000 a year to keep Penarth ship-shape.

Presumably one of his duties will be to patrol Alexandra Park and lock the gates daily, to ensure the safety of the public walking through the park, and stop the mindless vandalism which has occurred recently.

How can we be called the "the Garden by the Sea" when our parks are such a disgrace?

Answer councillors please!
