I HAVE been watching the development of the new cliff walk children's playground with interest. It is encouraging to see that the latest safety matting has been used with the brightly coloured equipment.

I am however disappointed that there does not appear to have been any consideration given to the provision of facilities for children with special needs.

Such equipment has been installed in parks in Roath and Llandaff in Cardiff. I would be interested to know if the Vale have any plans to provide leisure areas accessible to all children.
