I THOUGHT you might be interested by party rules and regulations sent from the Vale council.

Due to the large list of these rules and regulations, which some may feel are over the top, I have informed the council and the residents of Catkin Drive interested in holding a party (only 14 houses in all) that in my opinion, and in fact that of a few others, it is too much responsibility for one person to take this on.

I informed the residents of this over two weeks ago, mentioning that if anyone wished to read the list of rules they could do so but no one has informed me that they wish to take up this offer and to take responsibility of organising the event.

I cannot see many streets in Penarth going ahead with an official street party, can you?

It was disappointing that there were so few residents interested anyway, but it would have been nice to have gone ahead for the children, even though there were in fact only seven families with children instead. Still the idea was nice, wasn't it?
