CD Review: Top of the Pops (Spring 2002)

IF YOU'RE looking for a happy pop album for the summer, then look no further than Top of the Pops (Spring 2002).

It's a 40-hit compilation of some of the best tracks of the year so far, featuring the number one Freak Like Me by the Sugababes and Liberty X's Doin It.

CD1 also features S Club Juniors with One Step Closer, Allstars with Back When and Westlife with their hit song World of our Own.

There are also songs from Britney Spears with I'm A Slave To You, Moby with We Are All Made Of Stars and DB Boulevard with the smash Point Of View.

CD2 features a more indie/rock range, kicking off with Nickelback's big hit How You Remind Me. Oasis' Hindu Times is there, as is the Stereophonics' Vegas Two Times.

There a slight dance turn with Lasgo's Something and Daniel Bedingfield's Gotta Get Thru This, and a rap mood with Princess Superstar's Bad Babysitter.

All in all, this is a great compilation for the summer, though does miss some of the big current tracks such as Enrique's Escape and Holly Valance's Kiss Kiss.
