Phone risks

AS A non mobile phone owner/user I am unable to grasp the concept of "yes, we want mobile phones but no transmitter masts in our back yard please".

Over the past six months the Penarth Times has reported on numerous telephone mast site rows, oftenleading to petitions - but how many of these parents use a mobile phone?

Many children are mobile users. However concern over them using such devices on health grounds does not seem to be an issue.

Could the real reason for such distaste against masts be aesthetic? That objection would be more understandable and less hypocritical.
