Sully's uses

REPLYING to ex-EHO's response to the need to refurbish Sully Hospital as a possible aftercare and convalescent centre, thus freeing many beds at the University Hospital of Wales and Llandough, this is a problem regularly highlighted by our Health Administrators as a main cause of lengthening waiting lists at these main surgical and accident centres.

One wonders how ex-EHO and his so-called experts justify their opinions. Sully Hospital is excellently sited, and was until its neglect many years ago by successive health "experts" a centre of excellence in its treatment of chest problems.

It is just five miles from the city with easy road access, a beautiful looking building with nice gardens down to the sea.

Compared with the Heath Hospital with its now nightmare environment, difficult access and parking, Sully would be a haven for restoring good health. Any cost reinstating this valuable health asset would be money well spent - despite the experts.
