MEMBERS OF Elfed Avenue Young Peaple's Club recently took part in the Water Sports weekend held at Holme Pierrepont Centre, Nottingham.
The members enjoyed participating to the full, with activities including canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, banana boat rides, white water rafting, etc, along with land events including road runners sled, bouncy jousting and a disco on the Saturday evening.
The members also had to work as a team putting up tents, some for the first time.
The club would like to thank 5th Penarth Scouts for the mess tent, Penarth Town Council for £100 donation for camping equipment, Penarth Yacht Club for the buoyancy aids. The members enjoyed working in partnership with other groups and are already looking forward to next year, some have put their names down already.
The club would also like to thank Penarth Audio, of Albert Road, Penarth for the donation of a TV and video, which will be put to good use by the young club members.
