Art thanks

I WOULD like to thank Penarth Town Council for supporting my Holiday Festival art exhibition 'Vanishing Penarth 1982-2002' at the Washington Gallery.

The exhibition juxtaposed paintings and photographs which documented changes in well-known Penarth locations over a 20-year period.

The show, in the lower gallery, was well received and continued throughout the Festival week until last Sunday.

The show was opened by Cllr David Clapham, Pen-arth's Town Mayor. Among those present were Wales' leading artist Ivor Davies, Penarth writer Roger

Pinkham, Cotswold poet Hugh O'Connell, Cllr Anthony Ernest and representatives of The Penarth Society.

I would also like to thank Maggie Knight, the gallery director, for her continued support which is much valued by self-employed artists like myself.
