TWO YEARS ago a film about a mouse became one of the summer's blockbusters.

A book by E P Smith, popular with two generations of American youngsters, is about a lonesome nine-year-old boy's parents who fail to adopt a brother for George, but when a mouse tells them he longs to be part of a family, the cute creature becomes his companion.

This sequel is definitely not a disappointment. Like the original, this is a film for all ages, with lots of comedy, chase scenes and emotional moments.

Adults will admire the dialogue, the technical excellence and the synchronisation of Stuart's lip movements to Michael J Fox's subtle voice-over.

The Lion King director, Rob Minkoff, blends the talents of Hugh Laurie, Geena Davis and Jonathan Lipnicki, repeating their roles in this warm-hearted family entertainment.
