DVD Review

HE'S CUTE but naive, she's beautiful but cruel. And they are two bungling friends who won't let anyone come between them and their mutual adoration for Neil Diamond.

This is the main thrust of the film Evil Woman starring the already hugely famous Jason Biggs (American Pie 1 and 2).

Darren (Biggs) falls for the stunning and manipulative Judith, played by Amanda Peet (The Whole Nine Yards). She's so evil she stops him from seeing his two best friends Wayne (Steve Zahn) and JD (Jack Black). What's worse, she breaks up their tribute band Diamonds in the Rough.

To stop Darren meeting a fate worse than death, JD and Wayne kidnap Judith and set Darren up with his first love Sandy who happens to be a nun!

And to help round it all off, Neil Diamond arrives to save the day.

The film swaps between past and present easily and the audience will laugh out loud at some of the outrageous antics.

Evil Woman is a 15 certificate but overall, this is a great film for family entertainment.
