Sully offended

With reference to Henry's Corner last week. As a typical Sully resident who doesn't possess a pair of slippers - stilettos being much more my style - and being totally against pipes or any kind of smoking, but possessing dignity and intelligence, I am appalled to read said item and surprised it was printed.

To say we, as residents, would be excited if there was a chemical leak is simply sick and the thought is a product of a sick mind.

Yes it is a sleepy little village, a delight to live in and no, we don't want Sully hospital turned into an asylum centre for many reasons. Who would?

The article is tasteless, incorrect and very offensive.

On behalf of all Sully residents, many of whom are animal lovers and would take great offence to the last paragraph suggesting that we hurl our moggies into the trees, an apology is expected, no, demanded from the tasteless author.

Editor's note: Apologies to any readers who felt that last week's opinion piece was offensive. The views expressed in Henry's Corner are the thoughts of the author. They are not necessarily the newspaper's views.
