I'm not lazy

THE LETTER written about exams last week left me feeling quite angry. How dare this person write that we are lazy and all we do is hang around street corners.

For the whole of the last year my social life was almost non-existent due to the amount of work I had.

I also wish that somebody had told me that all I had to do was write my name and something vague about the subject, as maybe then I wouldn't have wasted time writing all of those essays.

I happen to be very proud of the grades that I achieved. I worked hard, just like every other one of my classmates, and feel that I had every right to celebrate.

Can't people just be proud of teenagers today, instead of pointing out the bad all the time? Next people will be saying all you have to do to obtain a degree is just turn up!
