Disgusting

I AND my colleagues read with disgust the letter criticising the young people of Penarth and mentioning A-Level results.

Yes, some young people do waste their time for various reasons, but the majority are hard working, responsible young people.

I have worked with children of all ages and have found them interesting and always willing to work hard and participate in community fund-raising events.

I personally know some who study and are a credit to their family and community, both in their educational life and in their social activities.

My own two children have worked very hard and been a credit to me. I am very proud of them. Together with all the young people I know, they have been brought up to be valued members of society.

How dare this obviously very unhappy person tar all young people with the same brush.
