I read with interest the article by Gemma Mitchell on the RSPCA campaign to ban hunting with dogs.
This was a very timely piece considering the march for liberty and livelihood last Sunday.
While I could understand the plight of rural village post offices, shops and schools, I could not support their march because of their policy on foxhunting.
I disagreed totally with their apparent demand that if you wanted to support the farmers, you could only do so by supporting foxhunting.
Why did they have to cloud such an important issue with a plug for an activity that is in effect just a social event and a barbaric sport?
