Vale of Glamorgan Council has asked the housing committee to reconsider its decision to enforce the no-dogs rule in Council flats, which would automatically lead to eviction proceedings against any tenants in breach of the regulation.
Penarth town councillors have refused to let the newly decorated Paget Rooms for a disco after being told that similar events in the past have been "a spawning place for violence and anti social activities".
For the second week running, Cwrt-y-Vil stole victory with virtually the last kick of the game. The victims this week were Trelai, who went down 2-3. Bertha the Bionic Elephant is one of the many attractions in Circus Apollo, which will be at The Dingle, Windsor Road, near the Plassey Street roundabout, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Colin Boagey of Andrew Road, Penarth, was the winner of Penarth Sea Angling Club's competition last Sunday, with a catch totalling 1lb 13oz.

Vale mayor, cllr Des Leddington, and leisure chairman, cllr Anthony Ernest, were present at the opening of the new £260,000 changing facilities at Cogan recreation ground. Mrs Matthews welcomed the members, as usual, at last week's meeting of the WRVS Tuesday Afternoon Club, with a special welcome to Mrs D Pearson, a new member. Howells School in Cardiff came alive to the sound of music last weekend when competitors for the title Texaco Young Musician of Wales put their talents to the test.
Fifteen students from schools in South Glamorgan competed for a place in the south east regional final, which will take place at the end of the year.
Father Francis Lynch received a cheque from Rachel Redknap and Richard Wilmott, who represented all the pupils involved in the recent Mini Enterprise project held at St Richard Gwyn RC High School.
Stanwell pupils, who took part in a sponsored spell, have raised more than £1,150 to support Katy Hicks in Uganda.
