Games Review: Championship Manager

THINK Sir Alex has got it easy? Think again - even the high and mighty lose out when it comes to winning their league or snatching that FA Cup.

Well, now you can prove it by playing Championship Manager.

You'll need to mess with dozens of stats screens before you get that desired result - a slip here and relegation will soon beckon.

There are new features and completely new challenges to overcome.

The obvious one is the update of players, including all the summer transfers and promotions/relegations.

The new FIFA transfer regulations are included prompting a frenzy of contract renewals and the poaching of players for paltry fees.

The most useful new feature is an ability to compare players using their stats.

There is also the option of assigning a scout to watch your next opposition, reporting back a few days before the game with the opposition's likely formation, and highlights key players.

The classic CM interface still remains, as well as the possibility of taking your beloved Nationwide Division 3 side to Champions League glory and onto international management.
