Pathetic thief

WE LIVE in a block of maisonettes in Penarth that have security locks on the doors, but in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, October 20, some "petty thief" sneaked into our block and walked out with all the floor and door mats, a small plant pot and two larger plants from inside our communal hallway.

A plant and some ornaments were also taken from the garden.

Someone must be pretty desperate for floor covering to want to take some tatty mats! If they would like to hang on a couple of weeks, we shall be replacing our hall and stair carpets, and if they would care to leave their name and telephone number with the Penarth Times office, we will let them know when they could call and collect these!

We shall be contacting the council, for an investigation of the break-in from their CCTV cameras, and the police will be informed.

We have taken pride and care in keeping our hallway and gardens clean and tidy, and now some "stupid-minded petty thief" has gone and spoilt it all for everyone.
