Spooky fun and tennis

IN SPITE of the atrocious weather the junior members at Penarth Lawn Tennis Club have been having great fun.

Friday night was the annual Bonfire Night Celebration when the rain stopped just in time for everyone to enjoy the fireworks and great food from the barbecue and to warm themselves by the fire.

Saturday was the Hallowe'en tournament and party and although the weather was too bad for much tennis, the juniors enjoyed themselves indoors with traditional Hallowe'en games.

There are still a few places on some of the winter coaching courses: Mini tennis 7-10yrs Tuesday 5.15-6.15pm; Junior improvers 11 and over Thursday 4-5pm; Junior Advanced Thursday 5-6pm, Junior beginners 11 and over Sunday 11.30-12.30pm and Junior Improvers Girls 13 and over Sunday 10.30-11.30am.

There are also a few places on the adult courses on a Thursday night for beginners and improvers and for the Saturday Junior Club. 10-11am for the U-10s and 11-12 noon for the 11 and over.

All the courses are open to members and non-members. Please ring Anna Sorkin for more details or individual lessons on 07947 044 277.
