DVD review 'Ice Age'

FORGET the fact that Ice Age is a U-certificate. This is one of the funniest computer-animated films around at the moment.

Twenty-thousand years ago, just at the dawn of the Ice Age, three pre-historic animals are thrown together by a curious twist of fate.

There's Manfred, the moody woolly mammoth, Sid, the fast-talking and comical sloth and Diego, a stealthy sabre-toothed tiger.

The three make up the weirdest herd around. And they take charge of a toddling human baby.

They must embark on a journey to find the baby's father, braving the elements and their own instincts not to trust each other. And at the end of their journey lies a pack of their most feared enemy - man!

Whether you have children or just a good sense of humour, this is without doubt a fabulous evening's viewing for the whole family.
