Bug camp success

PHOENIX Gymnastics were delighted with the results achieved by their members in a recently held competition in the Forest of Dean.

This is the first time the club has been invited to compete in this prestigious competition alongside clubs from the Midlands, Wales and right across the South of England.

Megan Richards achieved third place overall for girls born in 1992 and Lisa Thomas, in her first major competition, while still recovering from injury, competed very well.

Alice John and Bethan Richards showed continuing improvement.

Since then, Phoenix have travelled to the City of Swansea Club, having been invited to join the Wales and West of England League, which gave the younger members as well as squad gymnasts an opportunity to compete in a team competition.
