CD review David Gray 'A New Day Starts at Midnight'

DAVID Gray's latest album release has been long awaited, and many of his fans who were won over with White Ladder feared this one might not make the grade.

But A New Day At Midnight was released at the end of October, and is thankfully just as good as his last. Some may say even better.

To point out any one individual number would be doing an injustice to the others. With 12 tracks on the CD, it's hard to find fault with any one song.

The singer/songwriter sent Dead in the Water and The other Side out as singles, to give his audience a taste of things to come, and the rest of the album is equally as blameless.

It's hardly surprising David Gray's tickets sold out after the announcement he was on his way to Cardiff to give a live performance.

With his distinctive voice and mournful sound, let's hope the well of his talent runs deep for a very long time.
