Hmm only £6?

HOW pleased we were to see the firemen displaying their wages at £6 per hour on their placards.

The average wage nationally is £21,000 per year and they want 40 percent which equals £29,400.

£21,000 per year is £403 per week. How do they arrive at a "tear jerking" £6 per hour? We all pay tax and National Insurance. Tell us quickly - our sympathy is evaporating.
