Animal carers

I HAD the pleasure of attending a meeting on November 22, organised by Moreen Davie of A Dog's Life, where there were representatives of 21 small animal carers from around the country, some of whom had travelled from Norfolk, Sheffield, Milford Haven and Cheltenham.

It was a well organised and rewarding afternoon.

The content of the meeting was focused on the grass roots work that the small charities have to cope with, the injured animals and birds from desperate members of the public who have sought help from the national charities to no avail.

It was also evident that there is a growing concern from all those present at the disappearance of thousands of dogs and cats from across the UK.
