CD review Nirvana 'You know you're right'

REMEMBER those dark, haunted eyes looking out from under a mass of dirty blonde hair?

That was the image of Kurt Cobain before his tragic suicide on April 5, 1995.

Every one of his hardcore fans knew there was a last song.

One recorded in a perfect, all-encompassing recording session with his drummer Dave Grohl and bass player Krist Novoselic.

With resistance from certain corners of his earthly life, it was an eight-year slog before You Know You're Right was released on the album uncomplicatedly called Nirvana.

With a plain black cover and striking silver writing, the album stands out in a crowd through its sheer simplicity.

There will be no surprises for fans of this band, as the songs included go from Come As You Are to Smells Like Teen Spirit and a few from the unplugged set in New York.

This is a solid collection of the most popular Nirvana tracks and well worth a listen.
