Capital rugby Black Horse tag Rugby festival

SULLY Primary School were hosts to the third monthly rugby festivals, which were held on Friday, November 28.

The other two festivals were at Murch Junior School in September and St Andrews in October.

This is the latest stage in rugby development in the Vale with Capital Rugby/Black Horse for primary school children.

There are four centres or clusters with four or five schools playing tag rugby in the Vale, with another 12 in Cardiff.

On a sunny afternoon, 12 games were played. All pupils, boys and girls showing much enthusiasm, enjoyment, fun and good skill level.

The four schools were: Sully, Wenvoe Church in Wales, St Andrews Church in Wales and Murch Primary.

Sincere thanks must go to Mrs Bispham, head teacher of Sully and Miss Constable for allowing the matches to be played.

The games were refereed by John Huw Williams, Mal Scott (Capital Rugby) and Julian McTavish (WRU).
