Late thanks

I SUFFERED a severe fall near the bus stop in Windsor Road during the first week in October.

I sustained serious injuries to my head, broke my right upper arm and had severe bruising on much of my body.

After treatment in the casualty department at the University Hospital of Wales, I had to be taken care of in a rest home in Barry as I couldn't move without experiencing excruciating pain.

May I, through the Penarth Times, thank the many kind people who came to my aid, in particular two young ladies, one of whom mentioned that she was a paramedic, or was training to become one.

I'd also like to thank the bus driver, at the bus stop at the time, for ringing for an ambulance.

Because I have been "off the scene" for several weeks, my thank yous are much delayed but are very sincere nonetheless.

I was overwhelmed by the kindness I received from so many unknown people.

I'd also like to pass on my gratitude to Cartref Porthceri for the care I was shown by the staff when I was fairly helpless.

I am slowly recovering at home now and hope to be able to get out and about soon to see the many friends who have made such kind enquiries.
