    IT is pleasing to see that something is to be done about repairing the dangerous steps from the prom to beach. I hope that consideration is given to the fact that the southernmost bastion opposite the Yacht Club (where the old slipway was) is an eyesore with those dinghies parked there. Perhaps steps could be put there too. The pavement could be levelled out to give uninterrupted passage across the eyesore. The steps would be more or less hidden so the conservation-schmonservation cosmeticians couldn't complain. read more
