Not a laugh

Thank you for covering the story about festive drink spiking ('Sex danger' of spiked drinks, December 12)

I fell victim to this scourge, but it was two years ago when this kind of thing was hardly known about.

I was very lucky. I felt ill and friends took me home.

This was a private party. I want to let people know this doesn't just happen in pubs and clubs.

I don't think this was a malicious act, more like someone just having a laugh. But it wasn't funny.

And after a night out, who is going to believe you when you say it really isn't a hang-over?
