DVD Review: 'Ali G Indahouse'

IN THIS age of spin doctors and political image-making, what could possibly revolutionise the British government any more than it already has been?

That's easy. The answer is Ali G. The Welshman turned leader of 'Da Staines Massive' is 'indahouse' and on DVD.

Unwittingly becoming a pawn in the evil chancellor's plot to overthrow the prime minister of Great Britain, Ali G stars in his own movie Ali G Indahouse: The Movie.

However, instead of bringing the prime minister down, Ali is embraced by the nation as the voice of youth and 'realness', making the prime minister and his government more popular than ever.

With some massive (pardon the pun) names in this film, including Charles Dance, Ali G, played by Cardiff funny man Sacha Baron Cohen, emerges as one of the unlikeliest heroes.

This is not a film for people easily offended. Take heed of the 15 certificate, and as long you can take this comedian with a pinch of salt, you'll probably make your jaw ache laughing.

But beware, anyone trying to watch this film while staunchly maintaining how much they can't stand Ali G, will have a hard job covering up how much of it you actually do find funny.
