WHAT a treat to have some glorious sunshine instead of the incessant rain and biting wind, even my house looks cheerful showing up the dust!
My spirits are raised in grateful hope when I see the bulbs peeping forth in the garden, and a chance later on to sit out and get fresh air, instead of the artificial heat, which I hate.
Oh yes, we should be grateful for that of course, but the sunshine is the very best for winter blues!
The parks will start to bloom again, and our little Alexander where I played as a child sitting on the cannon, and always keeping off the grass as the park keeper was a formidable figure to a small girl.
Then our beautiful cliffs with superb views over the channel, and the two islands where I weaved such magical tales.
We are so lucky to live in Penarth, with scope to roam at will, even with empty pockets for some.
A Happy New Year to Penarth Times. May you prosper even more.
