THE PENARTH Business and Professional Women's Club met at Trinity Methodist Rooms last Thursday to hear a talk on traditional Chinese Acupuncture by Miss Wendy Freeman-Pope.

This was Miss Freeman-Pope's second visit and the members and visitors very much appreciated her detailed explanation of this ancient method of treating the person as a whole

GLAMORGAN (Rhoose) Airport is to be Renamed Cardiff (Wales) Airport.

This was decided at a meeting of the Airport Joint Committee, following the recommendations from the three county councils who own and operate the airport, Mid, South and West Glamorgan, all of whom agree with the new title.

THE VALE Leisure Services Committee has suggested that the top floor of the multi-storey car park at Penarth Esplanade could be an ideal site for youngsters to skateboard in safety.

It was agreed to put the idea to the county council who now control the car park

PENARTH Towns-women's Guild Music Group held their annual general meeting last week when chairman, Mrs Joan Paton announced that Mrs Gwynlais Rowland Harris had agreed to continue as conductress and Mrs Kay Leggett as deputy

A PROPOSED new railway station at Eastbrook, Dinas Powys, has been rejected by the South Glamorgan Planning Policy Committee.

PENARTH film Society has announced a top-line programme of screenings over the next five months.

Two films will be shown at each monthly session at the Paget Rooms.
