PENARTH Amateur Boxing Club has been part of Penarth's sporting community for over 50 years.
It has provided facilities for local children and adults which have produced numerous Welsh Champions at schoolboy and senior levels.
The club has been run on a voluntary basis and has received continuing support from the Penarth community.
The club has had several well-known trainers over the years.
These include George Cutts, Charlie Pearson and Stephen Baird. The present trainers are Cliff Piper and Neil Munn.
The club continues to produce talented young boxers.
They can be seen at a boxing show on February 14, at Penarth Leisure Centre.
Tickets cost £5 and will be available on the door.
The show starts at 7.30pm and will have 12 bouts ranging from schoolboy to senior level.
If you haven't got a date for Valentine's night, come and watch the fights.
Penarth Amateur Boxing Club would welcome your support.
If you do have a date, you can still sponsor a bout. Please contact Stephen Baird on 07929128618.
